The GDPR Gap Analysis Tool helps your organization assess its current compliance with the GDPR, enabling you to clearly establish areas for development and plan and prioritize your project effectively. You can also use it to track ongoing compliance.

The tool has ten categories covering the core aspects of data protection to provide comprehensive coverage of the GDPR’s compliance requirements. Simply work through our 84 provided questions and select the response that most accurately describes your organization’s practices. Our proprietary GDPR RADAR methodology then produces a detailed graph, scoring, and red alerts to provide analysis on the level of assurance of your compliance practices.

What does the tool do?

• Features the following tabs: “User instructions,” “Executive summary,” “Red alerts,” and “About your organisation,” plus ten tabs covering the core aspects of data protection.
• The comprehensive GDPR RADAR methodology provides a score per category and maps the score within the RADAR chart. This means you can easily assess the level of assurance in your processes and procedures within that aspect of data protection.
• Red alerts are raised where answers do not indicate an adequate level of assurance, so these can be top-priority items within your GDPR compliance project. Recommendations are provided per question to help you improve your score in the future.
• Understanding the context of your organization is important to consider factors that may affect your approach to compliance. Questions are provided to understand your organization and its data processing practices, and the tool will automatically customize according to the responses given.
• Complete each category tab and its provided questions, providing any evidence and observations as additional information to use as a record for your current practices.

The tool is in Excel format and is designed to work in any Microsoft environment. It does not need to be installed like software and does not depend on complex databases; it relies on human involvement.
